The mind is very difficult to control, especially the subconscious part. It contains our thoughts, experiences, dreams, and memories of life. Despite the difficulty controlling, it affects 90% of our actions to determine success or failure in our lives. So, we must learn how to reprogram the subconscious mind rightly for success.

An American developmental biologist named Bruce Lipton said that: “The subconscious mind learns 2 ways: 1) The first 7 years of life through hypnosis; 2) Habituation/ Repetition”. So, he gives some useful methods of subconscious reprogramming that you need to know:

  • Hypnosis
  • Energy psychology
  • Repetition

Repetition is the most important key to reprogram your subconscious mind for success. In this post, I’ll show you 3 useful ways I have tried. Let’s see!

Visualize the success you want

The first thing you need to do for success is to know what you want. In general, all success comes from one or more small goals. So, you have to visualize the exact success you want. For example, you are currently a student. The desire you want is to graduate with an excellent degree. You know that you need to achieve a GPA of 3.6/4 or higher, get an IELTS certificate, etc. Thanks to the successful visualization, you will make a plan for specific tasks you need to do.

Furthermore, you need to have a specific vision. The subconscious mind cannot respond to general desires such as “I want a good life” or “I want to be wealthy”. Please concretize those as clearly as possible such as “I want to become the director of company A” or “I want to graduate with excellence degree”. General desires are difficult for the subconscious to take the proper steps towards these visions.

Break down into small goals

The more specific a desire is, the more easily subconscious memorize it. Therefore, the best way to achieve success is to break it down into small goals. These will be quantifiable and achievable. To reprogram your subconscious mind, you need to write down about 10 small goals per day and try to repeat them as much as possible. Thus, the subconscious can receive and memorize for a long time.

This is like learning vocabulary. If you try to learn by heart 100 or 1000 words in a short time, the brain won’t work effectively. So, you will forget previously learned words, or get confused when learning vocabulary. You not only put pressure on the subconscious mind but also make the brain vulnerable. That leads to symptoms such as headaches, depression, and fear.

Positive self-talk

Firstly, you need to change your thoughts about success into positive affirmations. What does it mean? Positive affirmations are words that encourage your mental perception.

Likewise, positive self-talk is also very important. According to the book “What Do You Say When You Tell Yourself” written by Shad Helmstetter, we spend more time talking to ourselves than anyone else every day. The things we say to ourselves determine our moods, actions, and attitudes. And we are more likely to believe what we say to ourselves. By controlling self-speaking, you can start living your life and achieving the success you want.

Your subconscious can trust this self-talk and begin to show what you say to it. Therefore, after affirming, take some time each day to self-talk positively.
