It seems like hard conscious work, but much of the learning process goes on deep in the mind, which is processed by the subconscious mind. It is a powerful force to be reckoned with, but to aware and take full advantage of it aren’t easy things. Make sure you had read my last article to see if the subconscious mind can forget. Learning how to upgrade the subconscious mind memory is a powerful tool on the way to success, happiness, and riches. Wonder how to do it well, follow my words!

Ways to maximize your subconscious memory

1. Develop Good Memory Habits

One of the systems that the mind has created to preserve energy is a habit. So as you can easily guess, the mind requires less energy each time it performs the same tasks. The more automatic the process, the quicker the mind works. It also creates shortcuts to save time and energy. Consequently, breaking habits can also difficult because the subconscious has noted and created resistance to the change. Generally speaking, it will require more energy to complete and learn the new practice or break the existing habit. 

2. Use Repetition To Impress The Subconscious Memory

If you want to boost the capacity of your subconscious mind, the best way to do this is by repetition. Repetition tells the subconscious mind that your serious about change. Beware if you stop moving forward you will need to use all that initial energy to proceed. The subconscious mind rebels against the stop and starts motion, so if you’re serious about development, make sure once you begin, you don’t quit, then your subconscious will accept the new habit. 

Now if many of us were revising this list we might study the list, test ourselves and then repeat this cycle, dropping items we got right. This makes studying quicker and allows us to focus our effort on the things we haven’t yet learned. It’s a plan that seems to make perfect sense, but it’s a plan that is disastrous if we really want to learn properly.

The time frame for building a new habit is around 6 to 12 weeks, but this depends on the practice you’re trying to form. Furthermore, my advice is to practice one new habit at any given time, if you overload the subconscious mind with multiple items, it will resist hard, and you won’t achieve anything.

3. Exercise Your Imagination Skills

Images contribute much in helping you remember, so another way to increase the capacity is by using them. The subconscious mind tends to connect to images more than plain text or words. The more you can visualize yourself doing something, the high chance of your subconscious mind believing it’s happening. The idea is to let your subconscious mind think it’s real because the subconscious cannot differentiate between reality and imagination. This means you should visualize the knowledge, the information you want to learn as much as possible for a long-lasting memory.

Although, if you imagine your flying, the subconscious won’t all of a sudden think it can fly, there are limits because your conscious mind will take over and put realism back into your subconscious. To test this theory of images, I want you to think about a birthday card you received. I bet you can picture the image on the card but not the written words inside. 

4. Connect To Feelings And Emotions

The subconscious mind responds to feeling and the stronger the feeling, the more it will accept change. Fear and anxiety are feelings we encounter frequently. We all have fears, and if we start to think about those things that scare us, the subconscious begins to program itself towards fearing certain situations. 

If you change those feelings of fear and anxiety into feels of joy and happiness, you might find you will be successful in that situation. A common worry for people is public speaking. If you focus on all the things you might believe will go wrong your subconscious will accept it. More often than not, when it comes to the time to present your speech, it will turn out the way you feared. 

5. Sleep on it

Better yet, sleep on it. It is well established that the brain processes memories during sleep, but it will do this more effectively if you leave the optimum time between learning and sleeping. Christoph Nissen at the University of Bern, Switzerland, found that a group of 16 and 17-year-olds performed best on tests of factual memory if they studied the material mid-afternoon, but they acquired skills involving movements faster if they practiced in the evening.

Look after yourself! It’s a success!

This is a broad subject, but it’s so vital that you follow if you want to succeed. Looking after yourself means eating a healthy diet, exercising regularly, drinking enough water every day, and making the best decision to look after your body and your mind.

By fuelling and looking after your body in the right way, you can be sure that you’ll be operating to an optimal level, making it a no-brainer that both your subconscious and conscious mind are working at their very best to make your dreams a reality.
